Once you have decided to contact me, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the best time for me to return your call.  Alternatively please fill out this form and someone will be in touch.  We will have a 10-15 minute telephone discussion to briefly talk about what the issues of concern are and whether a formal evaluation will be helpful.

What to expect from the first visit:

Please push the call light next to the therapist’s name or “Anxiety Therapy LA” and have a seat in the waiting room and your therapist will come out to greet you.  During the session, you will be asked about various aspects of your life such as your passions, interests and hobbies.  Your therapist will also discuss your functioning at home, relations with family and friends, performance at work/school, as well as your sleeping and eating habits.  We will talk about your emotions, feelings, behaviors and how they have affected your life.  If we will be working with your child, it is best that you are present for the initial visit.

Insurance:

Anxiety Therapy LA and all of it’s therapists are considered “out-of-network” for PPO insurance plans.  We can provide you with a statement (superbill) at the end of each month that can be sent to your insurance company for reimbursement of a portion of your fee.  Please contact your insurance company for details on benefits for an “out-of-network” provider.  For more information on understanding your coverage, please check out this helpful guide from the IOCDF.

Payment & Fees:

We accept cash, check or credit card.  We require all new clients to have a credit card on file even if you are not paying by credit card.  If you are an established client and need to update your credit card, please reach out to your therapist for instructions on how to update your credit card on file. Anxiety LA services are private pay only. Fees are due at the time of the appointment. The fees for psychotherapy sessions range from $210-$285 per 50 min session, depending on the training and experience of the clinician. One you fill out our intake form, we will contact you and let you know the therapist options and their exact fee.

Good Faith Estimate:

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or read more here.

Client Forms:

Your therapist will send you a link to the client portal.  Please make sure you fill out all documents prior to your first session.  We will not be able to fill them out in the office.

Teletherapy:

We offer teletherapy services to clients in California.  Ms. Massi is also licensed in Arizona, Georgia, Texas and Florida and can provide teletherapy sessions in those states.

Contact in between sessions:

For established clients, we are on-call during normal business hours.  Your individual therapist will provide you the best way for you to contact them.  For non-urgent matters, your call will be returned the next business day Monday through Friday.  If I am away for an extended period of time I will offer an on-call emergency contact for current clients.  For urgent issues, leave a message and then send me a text message to my phone and I will do my best to return it within 60 minutes.  If you are experiencing a true emergency, please contact 911 as well.  You are also welcome to e-mail me with non-urgent questions/scheduling questions.  However, clinical discussions or treatment are usually not discussed via email.  Please be aware that e-mail is often not a secure or confidential medium to communicate.
