Once you have decided to contact me, please leave a message with your name, phone number, and the best time for me to return your call. We will have a 10-15 minute telephone discussion to briefly talk about what the issues of concern are and whether a formal evaluation will be helpful.
What to expect from the first visit:
Please push the call light next to my name and have a seat in the waiting room and I will come out to greet you. During the session, you will be asked about various aspects of your life such as your passions, interests and hobbies. I will also discuss your functioning at home, relations with family and friends, performance at work/school, as well as your sleeping and eating habits. We will talk about your emotions, feelings, behaviors and how they have affected your life. If I will be working with your child, it is best that you are present for the initial visit.
I am considered an “out-of-network” therapist for PPO insurance plans. I can provide you with a statement at the end of each month that can be sent to your insurance company for reimbursement of a portion of your fee. Please contact your insurance company for details on benefits for an “out-of-network” provider.
I accept cash or check. If you would like to pay by credit card please set up an account on www.venmo.com. Please make sure to set your privacy settings so that your payments remain confidential.
Please download the client forms on my website, print and fill them out. Please bring them with you to your first appointment (I do not have a printer at my office). Please arrive 20-25 minutes early if you are going to complete the forms in the office.
I offer teletherapy services to clients in California using Vsee.
Contact in between sessions:
For established clients, I am on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For non-urgent matters, your call will be returned the next business day Monday through Friday. If I am away for an extended period of time I will offer an on-call emgenercy contact for current clients. For urgent issues, leave a message and then send me a text message to my phone and I will do my best to return it within 60 minutes. If you are experiencing a true emergency, please contact 911 as well.
You are also welcome to e-mail me with non-urgent questions/scheduling questions. However, clinical discussions or treatment are usually not discussed via email. Please be aware that e-mail is often not a secure or confidential medium to communicate.
